About the Instructor

Thich Nhat Hanh (October 11, 1926 – January 22, 2022) was an esteemed Vietnamese Zen master, poet, and mindfulness teacher. He founded the Van Hanh Buddhist University in Saigon and served as a professor at Columbia University and the Sorbonne. Author of bestsellers like "Living Buddha, Living Christ," his contributions to peace and mindfulness earned him a Nobel Peace Prize nomination in 1967, proposed by Martin Luther King, Jr.
